History of Cottonwood Trail
The first section of Cottonwood Trail was a joint project between the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department, Richardson and North Dallas Coalition Organization (RANDCO) and Texas Utilities.
It was decicated in 1999 and is marked by trail heads pictured on the right.
This section winds along Maham Road from near Spring Valley and Maham Road to 500 feet from U.S. 75 - Central Expressway.The second section, which winds through Hamiltion Park along Cottonwood Creek, was completed in the Spring of 2004.
